McConnell out in Atlanta

I think old Mike needs about 12 months away from the microphone.

The poor guy has lost whatever he once had and is 100% stale. I don't know how his producers expect listeners to enjoy his show when even he doesn't seem to anymore.

If "stale" correlates to "worn out", I agree. He needs time off, or something. The idea of working 6 days a week would take their toll on anyone. I have noticed I don't hear the very annoying IFB bleed over on the air during breaks lately. Maybe he is back to Cincy only. One can only hope.

I listen to Mikey on XM -- 700 WLW doesnt do well in a Columbus downtown office -- so, I may cut my own throat, but I miss the old Mike.. there is definitely a difference since he has gone syndicated....more arrogant---I'm going the scream next time he yells at someone for being "against the clock". I still like the guy though (closest thing to a "regular guy" on a national stage).

Frankly it makes more sense to go with Glenn Beck, due to his success on CNN Headline News.
However I wouldn't throw Mike's show out. Clear Co should put him on at WLAP in Lexington,
and perhaps WLAC in Nashville, They should move him to late night on WGST. Cumulus might want to
think about him on FM Talk in Indy. Mike has come a long way from the days of 96 Rock!
They should even try him on WKJK in Looneyville, but they won't. :)

WGST is a giant black hole. They should just go Spanish or Korean. Cox owns Atlanta. I don't care if they put Mike, or Glenn or Willie or Ahmedinajad on that shift...midday on WGST is like becoming invisible. If Boortz went back, he would disappear, too.

I wish KOA in Denver would put McConnell on, even if it's not live, in place of Gunny Bob, or Mike Rosen.

Entercom has Mike on WXNT 1430 in indianapolis

I liked Denny Schaeffer when he used to be funny, but then he became a religious zealot much like Glenn Beck. That's why I can't stand either of them.

Mid-day is invisible in Atlanta because Boortz clobbers everyone.
