McNeil and Boers

I was very surprised to see the comment that Dan McNeil made in Teddy Greenstein's column in the Tribune that he is not worried about "the dirt below us" in talking about imporved ratings of Boers and Bernstein. I know years after McNeil left the Score that him and Boers were still friends but has that changed since they are now head to head?
 
I dont think so. Boers has always said they get along great. McNeil is probably talking about Bersie who he has openly said he very much dislikes.
 
I never knew McNeil had an issue with Bernstein, does it have to do with the fact that in some way he may have broken up Boers and Mac?
