Reviews of Michelle McPhee's book on amazon.com are not kind. People are saying it's full of
typos that editors didn't catch; filler; was a rehash of newspaper articles, etc. Was almost
thinking of buying it but I found in two visits to Borders it was nowhere to be found. Who knows,
maybe it IS a good book, but those who have (allegedly) read it seem to disagree. Maybe I'll
pick it up at the library and check it out; I could be wrong. (Then again, amazon already has it
marked down to half price--it can be had for slightly more than the cost of four Boston Heralds
(the Herald, like the Globe, is now 75 cents).
Also, it came out on day 2 of the murder trial--"rush job"? Couldn't wait to have coverage of the
trial in there, too? I have read true crime books that do at least offer some pages at the end
with a brief summary of the trial
Some did like it though. No word if they were friends or relatives of Michelle
No word if WTKK's 7 pm host is going on a big book signing and TV appearance tour a la Howie...
