MDLSX-SMRST-UNION, NJ ARBITRON PPM RATINGS RELEASED: JULY 2010

Middlesex-Somerset-Union, NJ Ratings Grid here.

The July 2010 survey period is from Thu. 6/24/10-Wed. 7/21/10. The next survey period is for August 2010 running from Thu. 7/22/10-Wed. 8/18/10 with the publicly released age 6+ overall data available on Friday 9/10/10.

New York stations continue to dominate NJ101.5 in their own backyard of the extremely important highly populated M/S/U. WPLJ is beating NJ101.5, can't remember this ever happening when Walter Sabo was consulting. Currently there are eight stations beating NJ101.5 with higher cumes. How embarrassing getting trounced in their own backyard.

NJ 101.5 must be getting used to losing every month to out of state radio stations. A strong consultant like Walter Sabo can fix this, weak management equals weak losing results in ratings and revenue.

In the sports world changes would be made, what we have here are the results of what has been given the monicker of the "worthless and spineless" era at 101.5.

Radio is a business, not a hobby.

MedianJ,
Can you refresh my memory why Walter Sabo is no longer a consultant at NJ101.5 and which radio stations he is currently a consultant at and their respected cumes. If I remember correctly, you didn't answer my question the last time I asked.

A random listen to Dennis’s ten o’clock topic set up explains why so many New York radio stations are currently beating NJ101.5 in M/S/U. Weak PD Eric Johnson still can’t manage Dennis to introduce the topic, give an opinion, give out the phone number and take calls from listeners as quickly as possible.

Dennis discussed inside stuff like the call screener training someone new and Dena looking fat, unkempt with greasy hair. It came across as verbal abuse to the demo audience of what you’re seeking to grow WOMAN.

This aimless boring rambling on by Dennis Malloy this morning resulted in the first call coming on the air at an unacceptable 10:23. This is a local NJ call in talk radio station, take calls and talk about NJ, it shouldn’t be that hard to manage. Staff apparently is just doing what they feel like, an indication of weak management at NJ 101.5 resulting in poor results in M/S/U as proved by so many NY stations including WPLJ beating them in their own backyard.

A strong consultant is needed to keep PD Eric Johnson focused on getting his staff to follow this simple and effective format. It’s not that difficult, a good consultant who’s not penned by staff as worthless and spineless does have the answers.

Radio is a business, not a hobby.

MedianJ,
Why are you avoiding answering my questions? I'll repeat it here even though its the post above your usual NJ101.5 bashing.

To me, it seems like Walter Sabo is no longer a consultant at any radio station, period. Walter seems to be wash up as a consultant unless you prove otherwise.

I'll repeat it again, which radio stations is Walter Sabo currently a consultant at and how is that radio stations cume before he was a consultant and present.

Although I am not a big fan of Delilah, I understand her appeal to women over the years.

But her best days are behind her. And not being friendly to the PPM means eventual death, or bail outs from all PPM markets she's on (except for CC stations, of course)

PPM shows there is low listenership to A/C radio at night. Stations would be better off doing music, even if its voice tracked.
