Talking to people today in the know, you can bet the house on 104.5 going either all Alternative or Active but Alternative is the best bet....CC who uses the logo "104.5 Radio" means Rock. CC is not happy with the latest reports on their Philly cluster, no matter what head honcho Mr. Taco says in this market. Now what will YSP do....there is a large hole for Rock, and its finally getting into the heads of the CC drones. All I can say is check 104.5 over the next few months. What I still dont understand is, what took these people so long to finally realize this. YSP will be the clear loser thanks to the high paid morons running the show, unless they can separate to full blown Hard Banging Metal while 104.5 concentrates on the Alternative side of things.

They just hired this guy, Chadd Pierce, from Sacramento's KWOD/KRXQ and Chicago's Q101 imaging fame. The guy SMOKES (aurally-- and otherwise, likely), and since they're (no matter WHAT they do) gonna have to tear it up ORIGINALLY and spot-on... All I can say is DO IT RIGHT. I'm sick of hearing bad start-ups for radio stations who know better how to launch any change.

Isn't Philly pretty notorious for it's ALT fanbase? How's it managing NOT to serve that audience?!

It's about time we saw some swingback to rock. A lot of talented people looking for gigs to pick from.
