me-Tv Adds new shows

Me-Tv will be adding among other things Andy Griffith (2014), Matlock,Perry mason movies, The Alfred Hitchcock hour, I-spy, and its first 1990's-2000's series Diagnosis Murder.

http://metvnetwork.com/memorable.php

Andy Griffith comes to most stations fall 2014 according to the banner ad on tvnewscheck.com

Seems they are adding newer yet older skewing shows such as matlock, Perry mason movies, and Diagnosis Murder.

Besides Andy Griffith, some of those would make Me-TV less special and more vanilla among other subchannels.

Could someone provide a link to the banner that appeared on the site TVNewsCheck?

Wanted Dead or Alive is coming to Me-TV? That's great news for this die-hard fan. Let's hope that the show isn't edited to death just to add more commercials and cable TV promos.

They are pretty good about not doing that on ME-TV.

It is interesting that they are harvesting a lot of shows from Antenna TV, This TV and COZI.

"Harvesting" is sure an interesting term, there! :)

The other classic-TV networks need to watch out, I'd think......

I wish that some of the more obscure/lesser-known series would somehow make it onto these networks, if only maybe 1 night a week, as more of a history lesson.

I wish all of you could've seen Me-TV and Me-Too in Chicago, before it went national.

That was good programming.

I must politely disagree with you on that point. As an example I mention two shows: ‘The Guns of Will Sonnett’ and ‘The Fugitive’ where, if one watches closely enough, will notice scene edited out of the broadcast. This is especially the case with ‘Will Sonnett.’ Even my wife, who never worked in broadcasting, noticed this. As for ‘The Fugitive’ ….having been a fan since the show aired from 1963-67, I also have noticed small scenes that have been removed. To some it might be a small item, but there have been cases where the editing is so poor that the entire scene doesn't make sense at times.

Diagnosis Murder currently airs most nights on the Encore Mystery channel.

You mean Encore Suspense. They air Diagnosis Murder and Alfred Hitcock. Channel 764 in Austin.

That's the reason why I subscribe to the Movie Pack for $7-$8 per month.

So I will soon be watching them with commercials on KSAT 12.2?

...unfortunately, nobody seems to have held onto decent prints of either The Guns of Will Sonnett or Branded since King World acquired them back circa '90. The chopped-up copies that I saw on WFAA-TV/8 Dallas a dozen years ago were the same ones I bought on DVD last year. Thus, I suspect the poor quality of Will Sonnett on Me-TV may not be their fault entirely...
