"me-TV" coming to Albany

Just saw on the Me-TV website, that a WNYT sub-channel is poised to become a local afilliate. It just says... "coming soon".
Anyone know when?

Good programs on that service... "Bob Newhart" "Mary Tyler Moore" "Dick Van Dyke" "Perry Mason" "Cannon" "Cheers" "The Honeymooners" et... etc... etc...

I hope TWC picks it up as well. ;D

Isn't WNYT co-owned with WHEC-TV in Rochester (Hubbard)? If so, does that mean we might see Me-TV Rochester soon? Hope so.

Just checked with Time Warner in Rochester. At this point they don't know anything about it. I hope they pick it up soon because I can not get Ch 10 off air and I guess no one else can either. Ok Scott, but you live next to the transmitter.

Well, I found out from a WNYT engineer that MeTV will begin July 28th, on ch 13-2. Regarding jm12's comment on TW in Rochester, I don't see that the channel will debut on TW "here" either.

We have "Antenna TV" here as well, and TW doesn't carry that one either. TW DOES carry RTV though, seen on our WTEN 10-3, and "This TV" as well.

I saw a ME-tv ad tonight... with carriage on TWC. Maybe TW-Rochester won't be far behind.

Was in Northern Washington County last weekend after reading this post and was able to lock in ME-TV. Apparently WAST has boosted its power since this change . In the past I have not been able to recieve many stations since ditgial went into effect ,WRGB and FOX were the only two powerful enough to reach the area.

ME-TV has been on Time Warner in Rochester and on WHEC-TV 10.2 for about a month now. I find it has quite a buzz going. Seems like a lot of people have discovered it. I like the programing but it seems the best stuff is on in the middle of the night.
Great for insomniacs. There are very few national commercials other than term life insurance companies and local avails are mostly promos for Ch 10, which, while well done, are starting to get annoying in their repetition. Hopefully, WHEC will be selling local spots soon and make some $$.

I hate to be greedy but I hope Antenna TV comes to town too. People who are on satellite do not receive ME-TV unless they
get it off the air. It will be interesting to see if ME-TV shows up in the local ratings.
