Me-TV left out of TV Guide print edition

TV Guide print edition recently added listings for several sub-channels but the #1 diginet in the country, Me-TV is not among them. Why? These are all listed: Antenna TV, Court TV, Cozi, Decades, Get TV, Laff, Retro TV, Grit, ThisTV, TruTV.

I'd still buy their magazine if they've never changed their pre-2005 look and format.

Same here, I used to always have my mom buy a TV Guide whenever we went on vacation, same with a local newspaper.
I did the same thing. I still have every TV Guide we ever bought in a market where we didn't live. I'm hoping to be able to pull out the box that has them and post everything anyone might want to know.

In the early 1970s Raleigh-Durham NC had two NBC affiliates and two CBS affiliates. Not four stations. Two. The schedules were a complete mess. You would not have been able to figure out when your favorite shows on either network would air based on when most affiliates did it. This is something that just has to be posted here when i find it.

It cost too much to keep subscribing and one day, there was not an episode summary for one show. Just "Conclusion" for part two of a two-part episode. That was the conclusion of my subscription. That plus the fact when I said to the woman I was thinking of cancelling, she sent me to someone else. That someone else was a recording praising the magazine. No, I'm not interested in celebrity news. Only listings. You can't even give me local listings any more. I called again and was told they were busy. Try again. After that they got a letter. I now have to pay for my newspaper's TV section, which doesn't even have episode summaries. On top of that, there seemed to be last-minute changes due to George Floyd. Because of COVID-19 I was without the Internet most of last week. Yeah, I could buy a laptop or upgrade my phone and figure out how the Internet works on one of those. But I trusted what was printed on paper.

Probably because me tv just plays the same thing over and over pretty much. Also I think itd be better if tv guide dropped that modern format crap and went to how tv weekly does it. Tv guide also hardly lists the main actors in the movie or tv show like like other tv listings that do it the right way follow.

The Sunday TV listings insert for the entire week that come with the Shelby Star and the Gaston Gazette do not even include WAXN channel 64. Honestly though I am surprised it is still published.

COVID isn’t a computer virus.

There’s absolutely no reason any print publication needs to provide detailed listings. It’s a waste of time and money. Has been for years.

I gave up on TV Guide when they went to the larger size (Which was OK in itself) and dropped local schedules. But now I don't know how local schedules could be done with any accuracy. Even the guides on cable systems and online are inaccurate a lot of times now.

Anyway, because the digital TV upgrade forced me to find a new way to record shows, I have TiVo listings, which on the Roamio seem to get updated because it's hooked up to the Internet. The older ones could get listings from phone lines but didn't get updates. Sometimes there can be updates, and sometimes, such as when sports events run over, there can't.

But it's too expensive to get all the channels and I only watch them when staying in a motel. Having too many channels in my TiVo listings would be a problem anyway. I could have looked up the channels where these movies are before leaving home but didn't think about it. It's just easiest to carry my newspaper's TV section with me.

It used to be even easier when there was a channel devoted to the listings. It just took patience as it scrolled through numerous channels. I don't even know how people are supposed to get this information now.

If you can afford a private tutor to guide you through the many features of a cable remote control, you might one day master the red button labeled "GUIDE." This modern marvel can be used to access DAYS' worth of listings for every channel on your local system, including the ones that aren't even included in your (or the motel's) package. It truly is amazing, and well worth moving into the new millennium to enjoy.

By the way, do you actually check into motels just to watch cable TV?
