ME-TV Program Modifications

I don't know if the term "edit" would be correct for what ME-TV does to their shows. I know they speed them up drastically. Hogan's Heroes being the worst culprit. Does anyone know if they actually "cut" episodes or just speed them up? If so, how much are they actually cutting out/speeding up in an hour?

For the most part I don't notice the speed-up except in the opening and closing credits (it's real noticeable in Perry Mason and Dragnet). As much as I don't like the practice it's infinitely preferable to having edited episodes. They do run edited episodes, but in those cases it's more likely they came in that way from the syndicator than ME-TV doing the editing.
