Me-TV to air He-Man and other Classic Media cartoons starting in 2nd quarter

Look like Me-TV will be starting a weekend morning block of Classic Media cartoons, including He-Man and She-Ra, in the 2nd quarter of this year. That's makes 4 TV networks in the U.S. that are airing He-Man and She-Ra now (the other 3 are Qubo, RTV and PBJ).

The Filmation catalog is the worst cartoon library out in circulation. Filmation should be paying the networks to air that dreck. I've caught He-Man and She-Ra on Qubo and it's just as I remembered it as a child; unwatchable.

Filmation no longer exists as a business. As for their TV series, I liked "The Ghost Busters", which was live action, and "Filmation's Ghostbusters", which was animated (the original title was simply "Ghostbusters").

I am glad Me-TV has plans to broadcast more animated TV programs. I am interested in seeing the Gumby and Mister Magoo programs again, since I no longer have access to programming from the Retro Television Network, which had broadcast Gumby and Mister Magoo episodes previously.

I have a relative who will be thrilled. He watched so much of this stuff as a kid that his
parents became concerned that his religion had morphed into some 50-50 hybrid of
Catholic Church and He Man.

It's too bad somebody can't get Looney Tunes, but Cartoon Network/Boomerang is probably not going to let that go anywhere else.

I'd like to se ME-TV pick up Bullwinkle. I believe it is free thru Program Exchange.

The Cartoon Network currently has the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons as part of their current programming.

Let's Go, Ghost Busters!

:D

Me-TV, as another poster pointed out did show Bullwinkle and Tennessee Tuxdeo, but that was around 2006. They would show it around 11am, weekdays. Then it moved to once a week Sundays. They also used to show Our Gang shorts. The programs never caught on much.

You Tube has a lot of cartoon shorts

Here's my favourite Brady Kids clip

We here in the Quad Cities just lost RTV but are scheduled to get ME-TV with a tentative date of last Monday. So far, channel 26-3 doesn't exist yet, but I'll be able to catch 'He-Man' again. Also, I believe I heard something about RTV gaining rights to the Warner Bros. catalog, so maybe you can convince them to carry 'Looney Tunes'...

Mister Magoo does airs Saturday mornings on Antenna TV.

I never posted anything about not having access to Me-TV programming. Programming from the Retro Television Network (RTV) was replaced with Me-TV programming in my local area last September.

Looking at Me-TV's schedule, looks like this block start on April 7 and will air Saturdays from 5:00 AM - 8:00 AM Eastern time, with the following lineup:

5:00 AM: Gumby
5:30 AM: The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo
6:00 AM: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
6:30 AM: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
7:00 AM: She-Ra: Princess of Power
7:30 AM: She-Ra: Princess of Power

5-8 am Eastern??? That's 2-5 Pacific unless there's a separate feed.

Was wondering *which* Magoo they'd be running---either the short 5-minute ones from 1960 or the theatrical ones that Antenna TV had as part of "Totally Tooned In". I see that it's neither---per above it's "The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo," the 1964-65 NBC series that had Magoo in famous literary roles, with the nearsightedness-humor limited to only the first minute or two. I think it became a series based on the success of the NBC special "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol" in 1962.

I'm most interested in seeing "Gumby" and "The Famous Adventures of Mr. Magoo". I used to watch "Gumby" very often when it was presented by Nickelodeon and the Cartoon Network. I last saw "Gumby" televised by the Retro Television Network before my local network affiliate switched to Me-TV programming.

I recommend alarm clocks for anyone willing to record the programs from Classic Media when Me-TV broadcasts them.

He-Man and She-Ra have been burnt into a crispy black lump of carbon over on ION Life.
They're awful cartoons (even the first time around) much like all of Flimation Productions from the 70's and 80's

Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids on Bounce is just as bad.
Nostalgic? You bet!
Regularly rewatachable? Not at all.

He-Man & She-Ra are on Qubo, & not Ion Life (unless that changed recently). I remembered all the Filmation cartoons Ion Media acquired were being shown on Qubo as part of the Qubo Nightowl block.
