Media General to sell five stations?

Why is the graphics package that Media General apparently forces on their affiliates so lousy?? They are definately last in the Greenville/Spartanburg (with WSPA 7 at least) market in that regard. They're just so plain and just dull looking. Seems they could do better. WJBF in Augusta uses that package as well.....does WNEG?

Have you seen the new graphics WSPA's using now that they are broadcasting in HD? I think they're even worse.

WNEG until recently was still using the same graphics (weather too) from WSPA in the late 90's. The last time I saw their news, they were using Media General fonts, but different colors.

I'm not that impressed by WYFF's Hearst-Argyle graphics either, they've always struck me as kinda dull. I liked their previous graphics better.

Yes, I've seen the newer graphics. I don't know if it's my set (I just get it OTA), but their moving background graphics seem to drag a bit. Isn't CW using this package at 10 too?

WYFF isn't much better, you're right. I've never cared for their presentation or style very much; the content is good, but they could use a good revamp.

If you ask me, the WHNS is using the best graphics in the area. Haven't seen WLOS to judge, but I do notice they have a new logo.

After being in the Media General fold for one year, WNCN in Raleigh-Durham, NC hasn't adopted the MG corporate "swoosh" in its logo, but still uses the one NBC Universal used prior to the sale as well as the NBC O&O graphics package.
