If you could see some of the backhauls, they are angry off camera too, and rightfully so. They are reflecting just 1/10th of the anger on the ground. In fact, Joe Scarborough on MSNBC had some of the harshest remarks of all about this, and he's a conservative. "Remarkably," the only news organization that isn't criticizing the administration is... oh, you already know. They have reserved their criticisms exclusively for members of the Democrat party (the governor of Louisiana in particular). Otherwise, it's apologist propaganda.
Just in compiling a media list for a TV station in New Orleans, I've gotten hundreds of messages and even some phone calls from people all over the south displaced who are absolutely beside themselves. Not a single one of them has a kind word about the response from federal and state officials. The media is mild in comparison to what I am reading and hearing. The goodwill ended Tuesday night when the rape gangs showed up.
