So KLPX's fall share continues it's steady increases over the previous quarters, versus direct competitor KHYT's significant decline, and that leads to canning more staff. This quarter's ratings should be interesting. Maybe somebody will report the replacement of management at KLPX and KHYT, at which point I might listen to radio in Tucson again. Am I ever thankful for XM right now.
In my opinion, what you see in KLPX's change of share is about attitude inside the building, teamwork and about work ethic. People actually enjoy working here now and it shows. We belly laugh constantly, while still getting a ton of work done and, most importantly, when we speak to people about our jobs and careers a genuine sense of enjoyment is shared. It is quite an enjoyable place to work. I hope the same for any of you.

Are you saying that only people who didn't enjoy their job, or didn't work hard at it have been let go there, Chita? (assuming you are who you say you are ). Don't get me wrong, I hope you all are enjoying your ride (and by "management, I mean folks a little higher than yourself). Note that the time frame being referenced represents a different staff than is now at KLPX. My point was that, within the format, performance didn't appear to be too bad, and yet people where let go for supposedly not performing (leading me to believe the whole deal was really about money, and not performance). Time will tell if the giddy workplace of which you speak performs in the market. Good luck to you...
