Meehan to replace Severin

I'm sure all of Greater Boston is taking a bow(er) upon hearing this news.
 
will any of you listen?

He was recently on WRKO few times filling in for Howie Carr. I listened and he sounds ok.
I'd give it a listen on 96.9. Thank you for this info.
 
He wasn't filling in for Howie; he and Marga Bessette were in two days in a row from 7-10 pm instead of Michael Savage. Howie has had fill ins like Michele McPhee, Avi Nelson, and Col. Hunt. Before WXKS hired him, Jeff Katz did the occasional fill in but I'm pretty sure Doug Meegan didn't fill in for Howie.
Of course years ago Howie's sidekick was another "Doug" who would later work with Doug
Meehan at Fox 25: Doug Goudie, aka "Virgin Boy"/"VB"
 
Is there a contract signed? I wonder if it's short term. Waiting for Howie next year? The other side of the coin is that WTKK might not want to pay Howie's big salary. Then again, Howie might take a pay cut, given the economy and, most likely, lack of a fight over him. Personally, I hope they don't get him. Don't really want another 7th. grade bullly on the air.

If 96.9 didn't do such a lousy job providing podcasts, you could listen to him later in the day. After you fast-forward through the Caddy commericals and shameless self-promotion, you could have a solid 20 mins of quality entertainment ;D
 
Ah :) Of course I have recording software so could listen later that way (dub to mp3 player). But who here wouldn't read liners about Olsen Cadillac to get (use of) a free Caddy? :)

Sorry for my mistake earlier in the week. I realised my mistake after I replied. Sorry.

Have you all listened to the new Meehan show on 96.9? Your thoughts? I did. I was home sick this week so I had the chance to listen. It sounded ok. I thought it was very much simular to Howie Carr show. As a matter of fact, both shows were talking about the same how Mayor Menino disregarded to have a Viewing party at the TD Boston Garden.
All in all, I liked Meehan's show.

How about you all??
 
Now, if we could just get Doug Meehan into outer space, we could study the effects of weightlessness on weightlessness. Based on recent broadcastsit is clear that when his IQ gets to room temparature he should sell. Where are Burns and Brudnoy when we really need them?
