MEET THE PRESS ON WPRO

I'm not the biggest fan of politics in the world, but even I liked Tim Russert. He is the one person who made politcal talk tolerable. He was always enjoyable to watch and I'm going to miss him. Scanning through a station list from NBC they have WPRO listed as airing "Meet The Press" at 5:00 PM, but Westwood One lists it as airing at 6:00 PM. So I have no clue which is the correct time. I'll go check WPRO's site right now........... OK... it says 6:00 PM. So you might want to tune in today. Tom Brokaw will be hosting a special tribute to Tim. It's probably something that will be more enjoyable to watch on TV, but it's nice to be able to hear it on the radio as well. Just wanted to let everyone know about it.

On a side note as I am currently on WPRO's site, I like what I see. They've done a good job at formatting the page. All the news is presented in a neat easy to read manner. I also like the weather graphic with current temp. Only complaint I have is that the internet search bar isn't more prominently displayed. I didn't even notice it at first. Perhaps something like is on KFI's site would be a little better. http://www.kfi640.com . Otherwise good job.

As Harry Nilsson sang (in "Coconut"): "So lemme get this straight..."

Tim Russert, the longest-running-host of the-longest-running-show in television history, dies suddenly, at the age of the station's heaviest user, and the station doesn't cover it, and his show also airs ON the station?

Dan spent the entire 4pm hour talking about it and taking calls.

WHO KNEW?

Once he said, effectively, "something big is happening and I'm not telling you what it is," they're GONE.
Off-like-a-prom-dress.

And the-very-next-voice-they-heard, on The Sean Hannity Show, was Tom Brokaw's gentle, sober announcement.
