Hi

What is MEGA doing playing Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance"? I didn't know she's Spanish.

Maybe they're getting "Amp"ed "Now"...

You can't count 93.3 like was stated in an earlier post because of the signal. I still think out of all the CBS stations, 105.3 is the one they should flip first. That station is not going to grow. Amping might be a good choice. I don't see them flipping Mega right now

Mega plays very few songs by Spanish artists.

Mega has a new PD, and since it is very, very common for CHRs in Latin America to include English language pop songs in the mix, perhaps they are adding that flavor to the blend in Dallas.

"Bad Romance" is definitely in a regular hot rotation on KMVK.

Some Spanish Pop stations will play a few of the BIG HITS from CHR stations, as a favor.

There is nothing wrong with that.

Is this the same program director of the Mega in houston? Cause they started playing alot of english songs here too. Before when Mega belonged to Clear Channel it was a bilingual station then they flipped to a Pop Station till they had that exchange of stations with CBS RADIO.

CBS has a new national PD for its Spanish language stations, formerly the national PD of SBS.

If Mega's playing Lady Gaga, it isn't showing up in their Mediabase playlists. Bumper music, perhaps?

It's a power, every 3 hours roughly. Shows on MediaBase, too.
