Mel Simons To Become a Regular on Bradely Jay Huckins WBZ Overnight

Management must be trying to salvage the very dull Bradley Jay "Huckins" overnight.

They are bringing Mel Simons on as a regular.

Think they tried that to save the Jen Brian disaster. It didn't work.

Chances are this same move will not work either.

Bradley Jay is okay but he just doesn't do overnights very well. That takes a certain talent he does not have in that area

Doesn't make him a bad person; just that his skills seem to be wasted here.

Tonight Mel played a Streisand/Manilow duet and insisted that the dozens who called in and guessed that combo were wrong. Mel was wrong.

Mel Simons: Personal Attack on Jordan Rich?

Saturday night heard Mel Simons on with Morgan White, Jr. Morgan was promoting the fact that Jordan Rich was doing the play " Love Letters" at the NSMT for two weekends as part of a fundraiser for cancer support groups [ Jordan's wife, Wendy, died of cancer last fall. ] Mel Simons snickeringly said something to the effect asking if it was a play about 2 guys writing love letters to each other. Morgan White sounded a little taken back and then went on to inform Simons it was a play about a man and a woman's love letters to each other over a number of years. When Jordan came in later to do the crossover Mel Simons asked the same stupid question about the play being about two guys. Don't think Jordan thought it was funny at all and correct Mel Simons on the spot with curt response and he left the studio.
Question? Is there some sort of feud going between Mel Simons and Jordan Rich? Can't imagine. Everyone likes Jordan Rich. Maybe, Mel Simons is past his " sell by date" !
