Melanie Morgan Battling Thyroid Cancer

Brad Kava reports in the Examiner that Melanie Morgan is battling and, thankfully, beating thyroid cancer.

From her email to fans and friends:

I had an initial diagnosis (back in D.C.) of thyroid cancer. Some of my Doctors were afraid it was malignant. Others, not so sure.

But on Friday, I got the word that sent a wave of relief higher than the water in Half Moon Bay last week.

I am not going to die. At least, not yet.

...after her filthy rip on Cindy Sheehan four years back http://crooksandliars.com/2006/10/17/attacking-sheehan-melanie-morgans-obsession I suspect it's karma paying Morgan back...

Nice sentiment. Everything is not about politics. My views are 180 degrees from Melanie Morgan's - I always found Lee Rodgers to be an entertaining broadcaster, but I haven't listened to Melanie's screeching in years. But that doesn't mean I think she deserves death from cancer for disagreeing with me.

As for Cindy Sheehan, she's made herself a target as her views have gotten more extreme...like her little love fest a couple of years ago with Hugo Chavez. I have a hard time feeling sorry for her.

It is indeed a regrettable "reply" like that one, that exposes the cruel and pathetically politically infested mind of the devout leftist in our Radio Industry. Only such rabid minds are capable of politicizing Cancer. :(A response more worthy of the common denominator of Craig's List or YouTube rather than this otherwise dignified Discussion Board. Very Disappointing.

Besides the evil remarks against Cindy Sheehan, Melanie Morgan also called for the assassination of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (the third person in line to the presidency).

It's one thing to have a differing opinion. It's something else to make a career out of being evil and nasty toward people. I feel very sorry for Mel because she took what could have been a pulpit for good and turned it into dog excrement. We have one life to live; why people such as Melanie Morgan choose to be cruel instead of nice really mystifies me.

Take KGO's John Rothmann, for instance. He has leftist politics but he is never rude, crude, or nasty toward anyone. He is always civil, and downright nice to people who phone in with opposing view. While he disagrees with lots of Republicans, he has always had Republican Party honchos on his show and has always treated them with the utmost respect.

Mel should have taken a page from Rothmann's book instead of being the angel of hate. Indeed, sometimes karma comes back at people in the most direct ways.

No disagreement there. Though I've read about her exploits (mostly on this board), I haven't listened to Lee and Melanie since the 90s, when they were using their show primarily to rail against the California Air Resources Board and the MTBE additive in gasoline. It turned out they were right about that one. But at that point, she hadn't stooped as low as you describe. Rodgers liked to get into verbal tirades against one person or another, but he was so damn articulate, they were kind of awe inspiring to listen to.

Frankly, I stopped listening because I don't like being upset in the morning by anybody politically vehement - whether on the left and right. I'd rather get my news straight and formulate my own opinions.

With that "Logic" one might say that same Rdaio Karma was delivered directly to the ultimate "King Of HATE RADIO"The Pride of the Left-- Brenie Ward ... and perhaps that should also apply to his partner
the Prince of Overnight Hate Radio Ray Tal! Inspite of his Non Stop Distain for all things Not LEFT -
Ol' Ray and his incredible voice would be missed. So best wishes to him for eternal excellent health!

Look, everybody, we shouldn't wish death on anyone. We shouldn't assume that some larger orce in the universe is hurting people in any way because of what they said on the air.

I knew at least several people who died from cancer including my dad. It was almost unbearable to see him in his last days and I don't wish that on anyone including Melanie. Yes I do believe in karma and maybe this will be a life-changing experience for her. If not, slipping in the shower is another option.

I'm a flaming lefty on most things..but believe me Cindy Sheehan is not a sweet person..She had her perfect moment ..in the beginning asking for what noble cause did my son die..and the crawford campout..but she quickly became one of those people who speaks of themselves in the third person..as in''CINDY SHEEHAN BELIEVES''' blah blah blah....I never heard Melanie's take on Cindy Sheehan..I presume it was over the top.

Hopefully Melanie will be well soon...I can't say I feel the same about dick cheney.

...and Cindy has that beautiful, melodious voice with which to express her nutty views. Also found her none too pleasant in person.
