Melanie Morgan out at KGO

Gee, Melanie's out. What a loss to the industry. Yawn.

Far right-wing women seem especially heartless for some reason.

Considering her *storied* past and troubles she's had, you'd think she'd have a little heart. I guess when your trying to suck up to the lunatic fringe, there's no time for compassion.

I'm surprised nepotism couldn't save her.

I don't know a lot about her, but in summary, can you tell us what that "storied" past was?
 
Mellons Morgan was good eye candy for the leach she co-hosted with, but now he does his show by remote from Bullhead City AZ. Plus she is getting long in the tooth. She's married to Jack Swansong PD at kgo and ksfo...so I wonder if Citadel will pull his pin?
 
It appears she wasn't even good eye candy.

When Stephanie Miller was pulled from Clear Channel's Green 960, she was back on the air in less than two days.

Having been up close and personal with Mama this past weekend...let's just say I almost went straight. :D

Melanie and her "problem" is just another one of those who royally f-ed up her life for a while, managed to clean up, and now tells everybody else how they should lead moral lives.

Sound familiar?
 
OK, I'm left of center and to me she wasn't a very good host. Most of the targets she went after were easy, and most of what she said was way over the top. By the way she was liberal at one time. Guess she made the switch to be able to keep working. And her former co host is not that great on the air either. I remember him from WIND. He was nothing to write home about then and he's not now. Who cares about their politics.
 
She hasn't updated her space page, it says she still works for ksfo...I wonder if shew goes to knew?

Thanks for the honest opinion... I like her as a guest, but if I based my opinion on the few times I had heard her as a hsot, I woudl probably agree with you. My sample size, however, is too small and would be unfair.
 
Robert, when I worked at KSAN (they played country back then) we did very well in San Fran and the East Bay. I think you are using a time worn talking point. By the way what does KPFA have to do with KSFO?
 
KPFA vs. Melanie Morgan

Last fall KPFA's morning show did a report on some antics Melanie Morgan was involved in after their evening affairs program covered a protest last summer outside KSFO, where the protesters demanded FCC intervention after Morgan said something offensive. I am far to the left of Morgan myself and I did think the in-depth report KPFA aired did a good job of reporting but I don't think Morgan should be censored.
