Melbourne Book

Anyone have any idea how WFKS a clear channel station, licensed to Neptune Beach and serving Jacksonville, can come in the Melbourne-Cocoa-Titusville book at # 8 with a 4.3 ...first time it has made the book..

I live between Miami & Ft. Lauderdale, so I have no idea, unless WFKS streams online, and the word *reeeeeeallly* got around in Brevard!

:p

Okay, makes sense, but if you click on the calls WFKS in the arbitron listing from Radio Online, it takes you to 97.7 in Jax....

every fall the arb folks change the population rankings of the markets in the us, some go up, most drop.
Interesting book..WIXC no numbers, which isn't going to help them when they go all news simulcast with wwba in tampa..
and 1190 in Orlando...with trn no less as the syndicater..

I notice they mention cocoa in the liners now. Correct me if I'm wrong but does that signal have a lot of trouble in cocoa? I remember them being pretty much done for in titusville but that was before I had my awesome pl-390. This was on a Sony walkman. I could be off the mark. I forgot they recently had a call letter switch. I remember when wfks was on the flamethrower 99.9 out of ormand beach. That station had an incredible signal. I could hear them here in Altamonte and in Jacksonville. A little ot here but how was that signal in jax? was it drivable? I know they now broadcast from middleberg with half the power.... I remember the signal being pretty good in ST. Augustine as well with the old rig.
