Melissa Bell's Forecast: 45 Days With No Driver's License

The former WBZ-TV and WFXT meteorologist has quietly copped a plea to drunken driving and had her driver’s license yanked for 45 days.

Back in February, she failed two sobriety tests with an .18 - and still managed to do not one, but two weather reports for Fox 25 later that night.

It doesn't speak well of the meteorological profession that she could do 2 drunken weathercasts and no one would notice! Then again, it's an ad-libbed segment and I can tell you that a little bit of alcohol can definitely enhance the performance by relaxing you. Too much and you start to forget things and make mistakes. She must hit it pretty hard to function like that!

Still, there was always something about her that I found attractive. Now that she has no license, I'd be happy to offer her a ride! ;D

Is the Herald story correct? As I remember it, she was arrested at about 11:50pm, after she had done her spots, not before. What got her in trouble was that the next day she went on the air without informing ch:25.
She may not deserve another chance, but I hope she gets one.
