Got sad news from Wikipedia,

Yesterday, Hortman and her husband were assassinated in their home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The suspect was identified as 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter,[1] who also allegedly attempted to assassinate Minnesota state senator John Hoffman in a related shooting the same day.
