meltdown with last night's 11 PM WCAU NBC 10 newscast

There was a complete meltdown during the 11 PM WCAU NBC10 newscast last night. The first segment appeared to be fine but after that, there was a bunch of commercials and no news for the rest of the half hour. There was a weather segment after the first series of commercials and then after the weather, there was more commercials for the rest of the half hour , but that's it. Does anyone know what happened and why the newscast was messed up? Did anyone see this and was there any problems with the 6 PM news last night?

Did not see it. Your active on twitter with following local talent? I would suspect that's the best place to find out what happened.

I too saw this happen all repeats of NBC10 promo's and some commercials. They started off with news a few glitches and then nothing but commercials till Saturday night live came on. I'can't believe there isn't a manual overide if it was a computer glitch or maybe they lost power and were on emergency back-up.

Hmm, I remember not too long ago reading that the controls for NBC10 news (and other NBC owned stations) were out of NY at 30 rock. Maybe a communications glitch? It had to be some sort of automation or software breakdown or glitch.

It was just master control that was being run from New York. They've actually gone back to running their master control here. Saturday i think they just had a major failure with their production system. It happens sometimes
