Memo to Hallmark Channel : QUIT SCREWING WITH YOUR SCHEDULE

Hallmark Channel needs to quit changing its schedule every couple days.

Recently they had LUCY replace Matlock in the 3PM-5PM slot. 3 days later they moved it to the 11AM-1PM slot. Then they added another hour of MASH 7PM-8PM and moved the 7PM-8PM block of Golden Girls to 10AM-11AM. Now as of today the 8PM-9PM hour of Golden Girls moves to 11PM-12AM, which replaces Murder She Wrote. (in addition to the 12AM-2AM block) and Touched by an Angel now airs 8PM-9PM.

For those of you keeping score The Hallmark Channel's Weekday Line-Up Looks Like This as of today:

8AM-11AM Golden Girls x 6
11AM-2PM I Love Lucy x 6
2PM-3PM 7th Heaven
3PM-5PM Little House on The Prairie x 2
5PM-8PM MASH x 6
8PM-9PM Touched by an Angel
9PM-11PM Hallmark Channel Movie
11PM-2AM Golden Girls x 6 (most likely a repeat of the morning episodes as 12AM-2AM was usually a repeat of the 8AM-10AM episodes)
2AM Cheers
230AM I Love Lucy
3AM-8AM Infomercials x 10

So in a nutshell (even though half of the airings are reruns) The Golden Girls air 6 hours a day, Lucy Airs 3 1/2 hours a day, and MASH airs 3 hours a day.

This is the line-up I'd use if I was programming The Hallmark Channel:

8AM-9AM Golden Girls x 2
9AM-10AM I Love Lucy x 2
10AM-11AM Cheers x 2
11AM-Noon MASH x 2
Noon-1PM 7th Heaven
1PM-2PM Little House on the Prairie
2PM-3PM Touched by An Angel
4PM-5PM Matlock
5PM-6PM Murder She Wrote
6PM-7PM I Love Lucy x 2
7PM-8PM Golden Girls x 2
8PM-9PM MASH x 2
9PM-11PM Hallmark Channel Movie
11PM-Midnite Cheers x 2
Midnite-1AM Matlock
1AM-2AM Murder She Wrote
2AM-3AM Touched by an Angel
3AM-8AM Infomercials x 10

I agree that this is really ridiculous (especially with the Golden Girls). Between the finale marathons on Lifetime, the launch marathons on Hallmark and WE, and the passing of Bea Arthur, it seems as though the entire series has been run about 5 times in the past couple of months.

I'm all for giving shows a rest, but if you're going to run the Golden Girls 6 hours a day, the least Hallmark could do is bring back Matlock & Walker (maybe in a different time slot)

As far as Lucy goes, wasn't Hallmark running this just once or twice a day shorting after launching it? And now 3 1/2 hrs a day! Like Marc said, make up your mind.

And I guess Cheers doesn't rerun well? Once a day AND in the middle of the night to boot. I was never a big fan but apparantly someone was. It did run over 10 years. But I guess no one cares 20 years after the fact.

The Golden Girls at 7PM was fine. I can never find anything worth watching at that time so it was good that it was on. Now its on at 11PM, which is stupid because it's on opposite The Nanny on Nick-at-Nite. Lifetime used to air The Golden Girls and The Nanny back to back. Now if you're a fan of both you'll have to DVR or record one and watch the other live.

This is what's on at 7PM Eastern where I live:

CBS - Inside Edition/Entertainment Tonight
ABC - Jeopardy/Wheel of Fortune
CW - Everyone Loves Raymond x 2
NBC - EXTRA/Access Hollywood
MY Network TV - Classic Judge Judy x 2 (The New episodes are on their sister ABC affiliate at 4PM opposite Oprah on CBS, Deal or No Deal on NBC, CW in the Afternoon, Maury on FOX, and one of the Law and Order shows on this station. Classic Judge Judy was originally airing Sundays at 11:35PM. Now they air it 7PM-8PM Mon-Fri as well).
FOX - 2 1/2 Men x 2

Get the murder mysteries back. I've said it before, I said it again.

I know in my market Cheers doesn't rerun well. Its often used as filler programming. Sometimes they will show it on WTNH/8 in prime-time in place of an ABC Network show that will get bumped to 1:07AM. It also airs regularly at 2:05AM Sunday Morning on WTNH. Most recently it was airing weeknights at 11:35PM on WCTX our MY Network TV affiliate, but it got replaced by that god awful Tyler Perry abonimation after they gave his old time slot to Classic Judge Judy. If there were only 2 shows to watch Cheers or that Tyler Perry abonimation, I'd pick Cheers.

I also have no idea how Cheers did in the ratings when it used to air on Nick-at-Nite/TV Land.

Gee, Marc. You'd think with a network airing an unprecented six hours of your favorite show, you wouldn't be so angry!

I read where "Married... with Children" reruns only air during a certain window on TBS, something like between 1-7 AM, due to Viacom holding exclusivity between the other hours of the day to show it on Spike TV (and TV Land every other Thursday night, apparently). Is there a similar deal here now that "Cheers" is relegated to late night, pre-infomercial showings on Hallmark? Is there another cable network holding rights to the series?
