MEMO TO WBZ: GET KAREN TWOMEY A BETTER CELLPHONE!

I, like thousands of others, listen to WBZ in morning drive to get caught up on the news. Almost every day, reporter Karen Twomey has an actuality from the field. She may be a good reporter, but her delivery, and especially the audio quality of the cellphone she uses, leaves much to be desired. She always seems as though she is trying to get too much information in the short amount of time she is given to deliver her report. Consequently, she rushes what she is saying, and that, combined with horrible cellphone audio, makes whatever she is saying very difficult on listeners. I hope someone who works for 'BZ reads this post and brings it to the attention of Peter Casey.

Get her an iPhone and put a Tieline in on the studio end. You can put the app on the phone and call in to the Tieline via IP. Almost studio quality right from the mic in the phone. There's no excuse other than lack of funds (I think WBZ can afford $2k for the Tieline and the app) for having bad cell reports on the air this day and age.
