Memorial Day Specials?

Did many station do the traditional Memorial Day specials? In Burlington I heard Champ doing A-Z and DOT-FM doing a Summer Blast-Off thing. I think the other two Vox stations Star and WVTK did specials too. Did WIZN do their memorial day 500? I heard nothing on Kool or WOKO. Triple X was just regular format.

While spending time at Sebago Lake State Park, when not listening to the Sox on the radio, I was enjoying FRANK-FM's (Portland) Memorial Day 500. Yeah, those weekends can be played out, but the imaging and jocks sounded good!

94-5 "The Drive" in Rutland did up their second annual "Memorial Day Triple Play Weekend" which sounded very good, they went into some deep album cuts not usually featured on the playlist.. Nassau's Oldies 104.3 in Lebanon did a very good summer fun songs weekend, which also was very good.. I'm a big fan of theme weekends, good for the listener, and good for the sponsor if a sponsor partakes..
