Memorial Day Weekend fun

I love when radio stations do special weekends. Maybe I'm old school, but when radio stations stage events, like WNEW used to do with the Firecracker 500, I smile. What stations are doing something special this weekend? It is Memorial Day, so the themes should be still going..

then WTHK was still around, they had a Firecracker 500 every year for the 4th of July. speaking of which, im not in levittown this weekend, so i have to know, what is my favorite classic rocker 105.7 doing for the holiday?

im up in Pottsville right now and ive been listening to WMGK this weekend, their doing a Top 500 Countdown as well.

Had it on yesterday for a few minutes...They are doing "Memorial Day Live" playing all live tracks. Fine for a few tunes but after that a total dud on the TSL...personally speaking. "70's At The Shore" on NJ 1015 has had me thus far... Holidays are just another example of how "creativity in radio" (for the most part) is a thing of the past. :'(

I enjoyed flipping between 101.5's 70's weekend and WCBS-FM's #1 Weekend. Both were a pleasure to listen to, as many songs were played that aren't usually heard in regular rotation on the two stations.
