Memphis Oldies?

It has been a while! I think Memphis has the distinction of being the first city to be without oldies. I am not sure, but I think the void goes back close to ten years now. Who would ever think that it would be Memphis.

Actually, if you think about the makeup of the market, it makes total sense. Actually, WRBO is the correct way to Oldies in Memphis because the market is nearly 50% ethnic. Oldies done right (around most of the country) really is a pretty suburban, lilly-white format (yes, they play a lot of Motown- and Motown is just plain grat pop music, not necessarily "black" music by most Oldies partisans).
