MENDTE & BISSINGER: OVER & OUT

Arguably two of the best/most interesting things to happen to talk radio in this town in a long while won't be making any new waves in 2013 :-\
 
Bissinger was interesting, cannot say the same for the other. Did not enjoy Mendte. His past is to big an obstacle for me. Don't want to be lectured bu someone whose morals are questionable.
Apparently Biz thought radio was trivial. He could be right.
 
This station from it's launch has been a joke. If anyone thinks it will be around for another year in it's current format, you are mistaken. If these nit-wits (beck and limpdick) were so profitable, CBS would have never abandoned them.
 
I guess you missed the ratings for that station. Doing very well. I love Buzz's books but don't like him on the air. Full disclosure - I never heard him on his own show. My opinion is based on what I heard of him as a guest on other's programs.

As for Mendte, he is a detestable human being. I could not believe he was hired. Again, I didn't listen to his program.
 
Mendte....It seems he's been gone for a couple weeks, but no one noticed . No news report it seems, just a status update on his Facebook page and removal from the station website.

How about this portion from Larry Mendte's post?

"I have no regrets, just pockets full of gratitude. Randy Michaels, one of the great talk radio hosts of all time, personally coached me. I was paid to go to a prestigious talk radio school and I believe I graduated with honors."

Can we take away from his comment that Merlin Media flipped the $12,500 for Mendte to attend Connecticut Schools Of Broadcasting? ::) :p

Randy Michaels, all time great talk show host? Really.
 
This guy is just too much! He really is in a world of his own. I pray he moves permanently so Spokane or some other place where I never have to hear about him again.
 
The last thing most talk stations need is hosts of any ideology who are "pounding" the audience.
