I heard on WJFX this weekend a job opening promo saying "do you work for Majic, Wild, or Wmee but listen to Hot 1079?, then you could work for us." BAD MARKETING!!!!!!! plus listeners do not have a clue. This does not sound like Russ or Becker. What has happened to this station? Sounds like someone needs to go back and take a radio class, I think they offer it at a local high school.
 
Listeners know the other stations exist. Classic intimidation promo.

When Michaels was at WLW, WKRC hired a new program director. Someone found out where the new PD lived. WLW paid a moving company to send a truck with people to the guy's house. They met his wife at the door and said, "we know the job won't last long so we'll be here to help you move."

While this wasn't on the air there were many such things that were.
 
That's... odd. Not sure I would have done that but remember that this is Russ Oasis we're talking about. He's always done off the wall stuff.
 
When Chris Bailey left WIFE and landed the PD gig at WNDE in the mid 70's, he screamed over Chicago - Feeling Stronger Every Day "Howie Castle, Eat Your Heart Out Baby" to his replacement at WIFE.
