Mercurio Out At Norfolk's ESPN 94.1

Longtime sports host Tony Mercurio will exit Norfolk's 94.1 next week. The station's general manager told "The Virginian Pilot," the ESPN affiliate is looking to go in a different direction. The station is giving Mr. Mercurio almost two weeks to say his on-air goodbyes. Based on the remarks left in the newspaper's comments section, Mercurio's ouster can't come quickly enough for many people. (I don't have a horse in this race, nor am I a hater since I don't listen to sports radio.)
