Merger effects on N/T?

It is likely to be approved - or both companies will go under. Separately, they have lost a half-billion dollars in the last year or so. Combined, it is likely they will only lose a couple of hundred million. The business model is flawed! People have come nowwhere close to accepting the principle of "paying to listen" to radio!

What they need, is more exclusive programming - not just a rebroadcast of programs heard over the air. But, of course, that would cost them even more! Maybe they would be well served by picking up some shows that air on local stations around the country and make them available to the worldwide market!
