Merrimack Valley Pirate At 95.5 NINETY-FIVE-POINT-FIVE?

I believe I've come across a pirate somewhere in the Merrimack Valley in Massachusetts somewhere operating at 95.5 FM. This is really strange because WZID-FM 95.7 in Manchester, NH has a H-U-G-E signal here. It appears that most pirates have the technical acumen to slot their frequencies at least two channels away from a primary-grade signal either in the city itself, or a powerful broadcaster from a neighboring market. Thus Touch FM is on 106.1, two channels up from WROR-105.7 and three channels down from WMJX-106.7. It appears the Boston area has had a number of pirates at 96.5, halfway between WSRS-96.1 and WTKK-96.9 (apparently they ignore WCRB's translator at 96.3 which reaches only a neighborhood in Boston). I don't know where this pirate is. It can't be in NH; WZID would be overwhelming, so it must be south of the NH/MA line, and probably west of due north of Boston or WHRB-95.3 would be almost as effective as WZID. Lowell, Billerica, Tewksbury? It plays non-stop recordings in Spanish, and the word "Senor" pops up frequently. I believe that word is used the way English-speaking religionists say "Lord".

wow. What's on there?
(Sometimes) I get 95.7 WZID in Revere, Ma ( My Uncle lives near the Beach) Beachmont area.
But where I live in Salem, Ma, I get it much better up there.

Yes it sounds like a Sp. lang religion pirate--WMWM (a legit station!) does run some Spanish language
religion and "Senor" is used in the way "Lord" would be.

Chris from "Cool FM" up in Ipswich did a bit of a rant on facebook about how there are many unlicensed
stations that the FCC didn't go after; instead they went after the one station that used "FCC licensed
equipment", didn't interfere with other stations, etc , yet they went after them. (He didn't say which one.)

But rules are so unimportant. Let's allow 11 year olds to drive cars, unlicensed doctors to perform
operations, and "undocumented broadcasters" interfere with legit stations or aircraft radio. Who needs
rules?

 Oh my my RR, you need to chill out breh...it's pirate radio...not actual pirates of the carribean

I think Chris is talking about 87.9thewave now Cool FM . But he is right some pirates will not get shut down because the FCC thinks it may cause problems.

Agreed...and the bit about rules, just a bit of sarcasm. Now since rules don't matter let's see what happens if we don't pay our taxes.

But we know the FCC makes its own rules. You know why 87.7 is still on the air the Boston FCC was told to back off.
