The remaining original Beach Baoys will re-unite for a 50th anniversary tour and new CD release.

Briam Wilson, Mike love and Al Jardine , plus I am assuming Bruce Johnston are back, great news.

Merry Christmas to all on the Radio-Info board.

That's great news. They were originally talking about that announcement for last summer since they started in 1961.
Where can we read this news? Thanks Hornet 61.

Harken back to the glory days of Feel Good Rock 'n Roll (as I write this "Good Vibrations" is playing on KODS).

Interestingly, this was announced earlier on one of our morning TV shows by a female who wasn't born yet when the Boys were making their good sounds - but she was just as enthusiastic as I was to hear the news. Their fans obviously span generations.

speaking of good vibrations...just found a "Stereo" version's of "Good Vibrations", "409", "Help Me Rhonda" Darlin' "Do You Wanna Dance"and the elusive "I Get Around" all on you tube ..... I still need Stereo version of Surfin' Safari, to complete my all-stereo Beach Boy catalogue............. so please help me rhonda or any one out there. Where can I Find ???

Radioman.....info still sketchy even on the Beach Boys website...this was announced at the same time as "Vannessa Is Divorcing Kobe" which trumped the Beach Boys go figure.

The original boys of summer themselves, not some later generational incarnation - that's nice, Hornet. Thanks for the info.

I can't find a schedule of their appearances. I sure want to see them when/if they come to Chicago. (I hope!)

They have a scheduled appearance on 4/27/2012 in New Orleans...... this is also a world tour.
Pollstar and the Beach Boys website, should have some sort of schedeule by the first of the year, maybe ? I didn't realize how much of my collection was mono, I am finding tons of stereo cuts on youtube and converting them to mp3. Some are lost stereo versions, some might be ever so slight alternate versions, and some are "balanced stereo".....these posters on youtube are real houdini's using Audacity and Abobe to create "Balanced Stereo"....they made a balanced stereo version of the Ronettes stuff which sounds pretty darn good to me, albeit "old ears" on my part.
check out the new Stereo version of The Beach Boys "Good vibrations".

Two questions about that video.
1--One of the Wilson Bros is missing. Dennis is on drums, Either Brian or Carl is singing lead. It looks like Brian is there, but if so where's Carl?
Mike Love is on the right in front & the guy to the left of Dennis Wilson is Bruce Johnston. This leads me to believe that it must be Brian missing although that sure looks like him singing lead.
2--How can they post these videos on "You Tube" without the record industry getting angry? I'm not complaining, just asking.

On the Good vibrations video Carl on lead, Al jardine (middle) Mike Love (with beard) playing the "electro-theremin", bruce johnston on keyboard and dennis on Drums. Brian is missing.

Studio recording

Brian Wilson on Lead Vocals
Glen Campbell on Guitar
Al DeLory (Mash) on Piano
hal blaine and jim gordon on drums
carol kaye on bass
larry knetchtel on hammond

according to Wiki this is a bootleg stereo version...... i don't care, I now have it in stereo.

@hornet...here at K*LUV in Dallas/Ft. Worth, we play the stereo Good Vibes. Oddly, I've never heard it anywhere else.
