Meruelo Media Appoints Winter Horton As Chief Operating Officer

Starting September 3rd, Winter Horton will manage Meruelo media outlets.

Otto Padron, Meruelo Media President and CEO, announced the addition of Winter Horton as Chief Operating Officer to his Meruelo Media Executive Team.

Over the past few years, Meruelo Media has become one of the most exciting and fastest growing minority wholly-owned media companies in the United States. Meruelo Media manages multiple broadcast stations, production studios, and digital properties in Southern California with plans for expansion.

To achieve this, I’m proud to announce the addition of Winter Horton as our Chief Operating Officer,” said Otto Padron, Meruelo Media CEO. “Winter brings a wealth of experience and a unique skill set to help us create even greater value as we optimize our strategy of growth.”

Winter Horton joins Meruelo Media after serving more than 20 distinguished years in the same role at LBI Media, Inc. While at LBI, Horton provided the leadership and organizational framework that grew LBI from a local media company to the nationally recognized Estrella Television Network and Radio Group. Prior to his time at LBI, Horton was an award-winning commercial producer and director.

Starting on September 3, 2019, Horton will be based out of the Meruelo Media Burbank studios. Horton will report directly to Meruelo Media CEO, Otto Padron.
