Message to Judge Frank Caprio going on Cianci's show.

A sitting Court Judge going on a radio show Hosted by a felon who was and probably still is involved in Racketeering is an OUTRAGE. It is an Appearance of Improprity.

I'm not in radio. Never been in a radio station. I found out about this web site through someone I know in radio.
Let me make is CLEAR, I'd say a good 90 % of Law Enforcement finds Cianci being REWARDED for his crimes, by being put on the radio, a disgrace and a LOW POINT in any radio and in Rhode Island itself.

By the way, as a listener, Cianci's show is boring. I can't imagine it will do well against Rush on 920 whjj.

As a fan of Judge Caprio's show Caught in Providence I was dissapointed that he went on the felon's show. Judge Caprio is a true American success story and someone to be admired. The radio felon is the opposite. I agree that public officials and anyone is law enforcement should not appear on the that show, it's a slap in the face to all law abiding citizens.

your definitely not in radio if you think buddy isn't going to do well against rush

Judge Caprio made a FOOL of himself 2 years ago when Channel 12 'CAUGHT' him building a HUGE addition
to his house in Narragansett. NO building permit, NO Sewer permit,NO Electical permit, NO zoning permits.
He needed 3 VARIANCES!
His son David Caprio Representive in Gansett got the whole thing fixed.
By the way, when Judge Frank Caprio was confronted by 12 s Sean Daley, Caprio insisted he didn't do anything wrong!! That he DIDN'T KNOW.
Judge Caprio besides hearing traffic cases hears building violations as well in Providence.
Caprio and Cianci. "Two peas in a PIE". Qoute Tony Fraties.

Oh this internet is a great thing. Always something new to learn. I had no idea that Judge Caprio was caught speeding, possibly had a DWI and also failed to get four different building permits as required by law for a home he owns in Naragansett. I was not aware of ANY OF THIS! This box in front of my face sure makes learning fun.

In any event, I like Judge Caprio and I enjoy "Caught in Providence" no matter how many permits he forgot to get. I also like Mayor Cianci no matter how many felonies that he has commited. I guess that I just don't let a persons personal problems get in the way of the entertainment that they provide. I realize that certain people here don't have the ability to seperate the two. However I am not one of those people. Nobody is perfect. People make mistakes. If I don't like you than it's not going to be because of your checkered past. I'll make sure that I have a better reason than that not to like you.

How many people here would watch a person on TV who was involved in Grand Larceny? NOT you... right? I am sure that you have never watched such a man. Afterall what desperate company would even hire someone who has such a Police record? That has to be an awful company which is on the brink of financial ruin. Go click on the link below and then never forget what I'm about to tell you.

Broadcasting does not operate like the typical Business. It never has and it never will.

Skynet,
I remember the Caprio story.
There was another home in Narragset (sp) who did less then Caprio. They made the guy dismantle the house and fined him. None of that happened to Caprio. Caprio and his sons get a Blank Check in R.I. Skynet, people like you and me don't . Actually, Buddy did pay his debt, which is more then I can say for Caprio.
There is also a Horrible story about Caprio an a young woman and a late nite at the Coast Guard House, which he owns. I can't post it. The people that told me would hate me!

It's so nice to have this board to be able to post libel and slanderous comments here....sheesh!

Probably still involved in racketeering, that is a big accusation that you have lobbed out there annonymously...and 4 posts to boot in your Radio Info resume.

PVDjen-1 post to your resume and giving advice as to where to appear. What do you have to say to all of G. Gordon Liddy's guests in his 10+ year radio career?

Walter-we don't need to review your predisposition...funny how there are a lot of new posters now coming out of the woodwork with Buddy making his debut.

Let me guess Week End 92 as in WPRO. Pal - you WORK for WPRO. How much balance do YOU have in this matter?
As for Slander, thats spoken. Stick to Libel, thats written. Once a Racketeer, ALWAYS one. Nothing improper there.

Question Wknd 92, Did WPRO EVER do anything wrong?

Lawman...prior to calling someone out, do a little due diligence. I USED to work there (as I have stated numerous times, I'm not hiding my identity) and sure, there have been plenty of things done wrong over the history of the station(s)...

And, more times than not, if you wrote it, you at least said it out loud to more than one person....being a lawman, you better than anyone know that....

I'm not hiding anything and I don't care for throw away statements that are posted on this forum....especially from someone hwo is, as you stated, not in the industry (which I am skeptical of)

I flattered, but I never worked in the radio tv business.
I'd enjoy you critizing WPRO, just once. That being said, you have yourself a nice day wknd92.

92, I like Wpro very much. It's an excellent station

Buddy, on Wpro, Not soooo much. Walter.

I think its maybe a bit too much for judge to have been on his show.

I read were Buddy Cianci is 71 ? I did hear one of his shows and I thought.
'This sounds like an old man reminising about the past.'

I only heard part of Day 1. How did it go for the remaining days? Is this all the show has been about so far. HIMSELF?

Skynet74, yea mostly about himself.
He touches on whats going on, but very litely.
By the way, he's only doing 3 hours. The last hour is Ron St.pierre.

WPRO has a screwy schedule. They can't decide if they want Depetro to do a morning show or a talk show. So they just split his shift into both. Then there are Four hour air shifts where Buddy only does three. Then Ron is stuck going solo for one because half of the team feels overworked when they have to work for more than 180 Minutes in a row! Then you've got Matt who they stick in for another hour for no particular reason at all. It's like the station has turned into a giant pin cushion lately and they just stick talent in at random places. It's all Effed up.

i cant believe all the negatavity im reading here.... the only post ive read here that makes any sence was wknd 92 and rightfully so sence he worked in that building.......... buddy was hired to do something it sounds like the rest of you cant do.... witch it host a talk show... very simple if you dont like him DONT LISTEN im sure wpro will not miss and whole 5 of you whom dont approve. and for the record i dont work in radio and never have i just listen like everyone else but its nice to have a TALK station back in providence thats local during the day like hjj was a few yrs. ago....... and in a week or 2 buddy will be doing his full 4 hr. shift

I have nothing against Buddy. As a matter of fact I have stated here multiple times that I like the guy. But I personally don't think he's going to have the magical effect on ratings that some people believe he'll have. However only time will tell. I'll be happy for the station if I am wrong. So we'll just have to wait and see.

this just in: according to Ron and Bud, over nite rating were fabulous, more people listening then have the projo home delivered.

So what does that mean in actual numbers of people? I was thinking that not many people get the paper delivered anymore. lol
