I'm still scratching my head about why we're leaving messages for judges on a radio message board but that's just me.

And ofcourse, It's all about Buddy!!

this just in: according to Ron and Bud, over nite rating were fabulous, more people listening then have the projo home delivered.

So what does that mean in actual numbers of people? I was thinking that not many people get the paper delivered anymore. lol

speakin as a former projo carrier..... this is true. the journals numbers are in the toilet. witch is why i dont deliver anymore LOL!

Which is also the reason why they keep calling me and begging me to subscribe. A few weeks ago I told them that I did not want the paper. The telemarketer kept hounding me and continually asked me why I didn't want it. I told him that I just look at it online and don't need to purchase it. Then he goes on and on about the fact they don't put the entire paper online and I'm not getting the coupons etc..... This guy just wouldn't let up. I must have told him 10 times that I didn't want the paper. Then after all that he still asked me what my zip code was.

So I decided to play a little game with him. I told him 90210. Then he sounded very hesitant and asked me for my street and house number. So I gave him one in Beverly Hills. I could hear him typing something in. I think he went into Mapquest to see if the information really existed. Once he found out that it did exist he told me to hold on while he put his supervisor on the phone. I said Ok. But then the same guy came back again. He was obviously trying to bluff and thought I would just hang up if he put his supervisor on. When he saw that I wasn't going anywhere he went to get his supervisor for real. I have no idea what the point of getting his supervisor was, but I guess that this guy had a plan.

The Supervisor gets on the phone and says..... How can I help you? I responded with "What are you talking about? Your telemarketer just called me and then he put YOU on the phone. Mr. Supervisor then asks if I want the paper. I said... NO. I just told your employee 10 times that I didn't want it. Then he decided to put you on the phone anyway. He responded with a polite Ok and then he put the original guy back on the phone again. The original guy says.... OH YOU DON'T WANT IT???? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I JUST TOLD YOU 10 TIMES IN A ROW THAT I DIDN'T WANT IT! end of conversation.

Then as if that's not bad enough they went and woke me up yesterday morning at 9:06 AM. The first words I hear are..... "Hi this is Britney from The Providence Journal." I said that I don't want the paper Britney. Thank you anyway. This was followed by dead silence. She didn't hang up and she didn't respond. It sounded like she just sat there and didn't know what to say next. So I just hung up.

Now I'm getting pissed. My number isn't even in the book and they are starting to call way to early for my blood. I need to get my number taken off their list. I can respect the fact that they have a job to do. As a matter of fact I used to work at The Los Angeles Times doing the same exact job. But the difference is that our team at least appeared to have a brain. These past two phone calls that I received from the Providence Journal seem like they came from people who are confused by the English language!
