Message to Mel and the rest!

Do you think you guys could tell the person programing the Sixties On Six that Peter, Paul, and Mary had more than one hit record in the sixties? If I hear "Leaving On A Jet Plane" one more time I'm going to throw my radio right through my window! Enough Already!

Since '50's on 5 leans into the early '60's you might hear PP&M there. I noticed 60's on 6 tends to lean on the last couple of years in the decade.

My experience is that the Fifties on Five has a better variety of 60's music than the Sixties station, especially the years 1960 thru 1963. Much more choice......But I agree with the gentlemen to who posted above, one more time of Leaving On A Jet Plane and I'm going to barf.

The sixties on six is actually improving. I heard "Bang Shang A Lang" by The Archies, "Oh Me, Oh My" by Lulu and "Alice Long" by Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart. Songs that have not been played on there for a few years now. However I agree that PPM need more representation. They had many hits including Too Much of Nothing, Puff The Magic Dragon, Day Is Done (may favorite PPM song), I Dig Rock & Roll Music, and For Lovin' Me. I wish I could program 60's on 6. There would be about a 10,000 song playlist with nothing repeated within 24 hours.

When I get tired of '60's on 6 there is "50's on 5, '70's on 7, Watercolors, The Bridge, Love, Old Radio Shows, CNN, Escape, BBC1 and others. A lot more to choose from compared to the sameness of local radio. I enjoy having XM in the car and I find more people who have it and enjoy it every day.
