Meteorologist Art Horn returns to TV tonight

Former long time WVIT Meteorologist Art Horn returned to television tonight to host CPTV's special program "Hurricane: Direct Hit." Someone on the forum reported a year or so ago that he was let go from WVIT for making (and being paid for) unauthorized public appearances. But it was nice to see him back on TV in Connecticut, as he's one of the better forecasters and climatologists in the state. At CPTV, he joins other former commercial TV broadcast personalities like Diane Smith (WTNH) and Carolee Salerno (WTIC), who also reports occasionally on WTNH.

He's come into the Wal-Mart I work at several times. I wonder if his Sony DVD player is still working? :)

Man, how time flies. I remember
Art Horn from then-WGAN-TV (Now WGME) Channel 13 in Portland...back in late 70's/early 80's.

Seeing that JoAnne Nesti is leaving WVIT and Art Horn has been gone for quite a while, it would be a perfect time for FOX61 to revamp their newscast. JoAnne Nesti as anchor, keep Rich Coppola on sports and add Art Horn with weather. Now that would make the station a bit more professional... just a thought. ;D
