Metro North to Introduce Wi-FI

http://www.myfoxny.com/dpp/news/met...nto-the-information-superhighway-20110410-gjw
this could create a big problem IMHO. This will free up a lot of bandwith and cause more to go to internet radio when on the road. On I-95, because of overloading at rush hour, Internet radio tends to "chop out" and keep people like myself on the FM Band when on the road.

P.S. Wccc I miss you guys for I have left Living in Danbury. I wish you guys had an 60K+ HE AAC plus ver 2 internet stream... I would pay extra to see this.

If the Metro North wi-fi is anything like Amtrak's wi-fi you won't have to worry about streaming radio. Amtrak's wi-fi is worse than a dial up connection. You can barely load web pages, let alone stream radio. In fact, I was on an Amtrak train when they first rolled out wi-fi about a year ago and the customer service people were telling passengers not to bother streaming audio or video because it won't work. And they were right. I used to travel Amtrak all the time and the wi-fi service was very unreliable.
