Metro Traffic -Sarah Johnson

I did afternoons awhile back in the Seattle/Tacoma market. Four times an hour I would check traffic with Linda Curtis at Merto traffic. Anyone know what happened to Linda? Or....when I listen to Sarah Johnson doing traffic these days, she sounds like Linda Curtis. Could Sarah & Linda be one in the same?

Any info would be grand.

I'm pretty sure they are two different people. Don't know where she is now.

Sarah Johnson is the daughter of the former cartooning weatherman on KING-TV in the 60's, Bob Cram.

Many, many, years ago when Lisa Foster was with Merto Traffic, she had multiple personalities on various Stations around Town.

One was her true name of Lisa Foster, another was Kendall Elliot. The rest escape me right now.

If I recall, the way I found out, was one time when I heard her under one name on one Station, then happened to tune into another a short time laster. I heard her as the other name, I realized the voices sounded the same, the inflection and style were the same, and perhaps she had made the same little quip about a particular traffic incident at the time.

Once upon a time, it seemed like every Metro anchor had an alternate personality or two.

Travis Bailey once posted on this board a list of all the names he's been over the years (is he still with Metro?).

I remember once when Leslie Larkin was anchoring at KOMO, she did traffic on KIRO as Leslie Clark.

John Nelson has also had multiple last names over the years as he fills in around the dial.

One who always is the same, however, is Anna D. I don't think changing her name would fool anyone - that Chicago accent is too thick.

With all the different fake names there at Metro, sometimes its hard to figure out who even works there any more. BTW, anyone heard Harmon Shay or Mary Whitish around the dial lately now that KUOW has dropped their traffic reports?

Harmon was the early morning traffic guy on KIRO before the choppers take off. Don't know if he's still there or not.

Mary is filling for Sara on KOMO this week.

Over here in Indianapolis at the Metro traffic office the reporters here seemed to have alternate alias for different stations. So I don't think its just a seattle thing. i think its between Metro and the station owners just so you have a different look to your traffic person but be the same traffic person on another station
