Westwood One’s Country Gold is the 5-hour, weekly phone party with artists and listeners airing Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Midnight (ET) with a re-feed on Sundays. Rowdy has traveled the south during his career, with stops in Denton, College Station, New Orleans, and Oklahoma City. He arrived in Houston in 1994 as the afternoon air personality at KIKK and moved to sister station KILT in 1997. Rowdy was named as Houston's Best Country Music DJ in the July 2002 edition of Inside Houston Magazine and has been nominated twice for the Academy of Country Music's Disc Jockey of the Year award.
