Mets Land On WMML

Actually WCSS Amsterdam pumps a much stronger daytime signal into the Capital Region especially Schenectady. I’ve picked them up in Albany where WMML is a non factor. So maybe there will still be the opportunity for mowing and the Mets at least on weekend afternoons.
Wikipedia says WCSS only carries Met home and playoff(?) games. Is this true?

That's a smart move. I remember when WKIP used to carry the Mets a long time ago on the station, but now WKXP/WZAD's "The Wolf" is still carrying the flagship for Yankees baseball, but I hope the Mets would return to WKIP, but I don't see it coming back anytime soon. WKIP lost the rights to the Mets many years ago but you can get the Mets on WFAN, it carries well in the Poughkeepsie area loud and clear.

I noticed that the Yankees this year signed a one year radio contract with their flagship station WCBS. Isn't this the last year of the Mets contract with WFAN? Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Yankees go on the FAN next year.

WFAN landing the Yankees in 2013 = worst kept secret in radio!

I had heard that is a possibility. I wonder what would happen to the Mets. They have been an institution on WFAN for 25 years dating from the stations days on 1050. WFAN inherited the Mets from the previous operator of 1050 (WHN?), when they purchased it in 1987. I heard they might end up back on 1050 WEPN, which would be disappointing to mid -Hudson Valley Mets fans, as that frequency’s signal is terrible up here at night. The Mets radio network is weak as it is, other than 660 WFAN.

Mets flagships:

1962-1963 WABC-AM-770
1964-1966 WHN-1050
1967-1971 WJRZ-970 (became WWDJ in 1971)
1972-1974 WHN-1050
1975-1977 WNEW-AM-1130
1978-1982 WMCA-570
1983-1987 WHN-1050
1988 WFAN-1050
1989-> WFAN-660
