METV add weekends Cartoons and Timmy and Lassie

Me-TV, Memorable Entertainment Television announced today from NATPE an agreement with Broadcast Partners LLC and its Classic Media Library. Me-TV will be adding a weekend morning animation block featuring multi-generational favorites such as Gumby, Mr. Magoo, He-Man and She-Ra. The programming will be added to the Me-TV schedule beginning in the second quarter of 2012.

Me-TV affiliates will have the option of carrying additional programming including the live action classics: Timmy and Lassie Hour; and The Lone Ranger; as well as the animated series: The Archies; Ghostbusters; Casper and Friends; and Bravestarr.

“He-Man celebrates his 30th birthday this summer, making his series debut on Me-TV timely and relevant to a large segment of the Me-TV audience,” said Neal Sabin, President of Content and Networks for Weigel Broadcasting Co. “The addition of Gumby and Casper further rounds out the Me-TV Classic TV experience, and is responsive to significant viewer feedback requesting animated all family programming.”

Neal Ardman, President of Broadcast Partners said, “We could not ask for a better partner than Me-TV to air these wonderful shows. It is very exciting to be able to bring back classics like Lassie, Mr. Magoo and The Archies and Heman and with the 30th anniversary of He-Man happening this summer it will be especially exciting. These shows have a proven ratings history and a very wide fan base. Me-TV is bringing back the best of the best from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s and I am sure the viewers will be thrilled.”
