MeTV Arizona is moving to different channel

Here in L.A., Weigel has been pretty much forced to keep their simulcast of MeTV on both KAZA (which they own) and KDOC (where it has always been in this market) because in the repack they decided to channel share with their co-owned KHTV ... which is a Class A LPTV and therefore has a signal which drops out if so much as a tall building gets in the way.

I know because I can still receive KDOC, but have never been able to receive KHTV/KAZA ... even though they are on Mount Wilson along with everyone else. And I have a near-perfect line of sight to Wilson at a distance of 22 miles.

Dumb move on their part, IMHO. And unfixable now.

Actually, pretty easily fixable. Weigel can move the KAZA license to any other channel share if it can find a partner - and if they could strike a deal with Radiant Life, the existing KDOC 56.x could very easily simply become KAZA 54.1.

I wish they would. The way it is now, having no access to the RF channel 22 signal here means I have zero access to MeTV+, Story Television, or a full-time MeTV Toons feed.

But I know no one at Weigel to make the suggestion to.

I don't believe there are more than two MeTV feeds ... east (Eastern/Central) and west (Pacific).

The west feed would make the most sense in Arizona.

MeTV actually has more than two feeds as they changed from Pacific to Mountain feed back in November a few days after Day Light Savings time ended as I mentioned above. Although, I guess they could be using an Arizona specific feed since they do have the local Arizona and Me show on Saturday morning and I don't believe they have a local studio. I believe everything is fed from Chicago.

MeTV Channel 40.1 is still using Mountain Time Feed after the daylight savings time changes. This channel must be broadcast using MeTV's Pacific Feed.
My guess is like in November, they will probably change over to the Pacific Feed sometime over the next few days.

Has it occurred to either of you that maybe they are delaying the feed on their own? That's a lot easier these days with computers than it was back in the analog tape days.

And I would like @powergate92 to provide proof of "more than two feeds", please. Conclusions based on personal observations are far from a reputable source.

According to Lyngsay, there are 3 National Satellite feeds for MeTV: East, West, and Mountain.
