WHEC-TV has brought MeTV to Rochester as its 10.2 subchannel, for those who enjoy reruns of a lot of old classic shows (along with some more obscure ones). They bumped their 24/7 weather service down to 10.3, which means if you still have to have your local weather 24/7 you'll need to rescan your set for it.
A quick look at MeTV leaves the impression it's a lot like TVLand used to be before it started doing original programming like "Hot in Cleveland".
With 10 now streaming MeTV and weather on its subchannels, 13 using its subchannel 13.2 to provide CW network programming in Rochester, 21 feeding both a main channel and two subchannel streams (a documentary channel on 21.2 and a how-to instructional and travel channel on 21.3) and 31 feeding the CoolTV music video network on 31.2, that leaves WROC Channel 8 as the only station in the market programming only its main channel. Wonder if and when Channel 8 will do something with its 8.2 and 8.3 subchannels? Anyone know if there are plans on Humboldt St. to make use of those subchannels?
