METV

I don't know. The promos on channel 10 say "coming soon". I've noticed that the weather on 10.2 now is nothing more than a radar shot in place of the national weather feed with local drop-ins like it used to be so maybe the transition over to METV will be shortly. I'm looking forward to it coming. They have a really good lineup according to the promos and the METV Website. Much better than WMAK 7.2. They used to be good until RTV'S agreement with MCA / Universal ran out. That's when we lost Emergency, Adam 12, Dragnet, Knight Rider and a bunch of others. Luken Communications (owner of RTV) is supposed to be resurrecting The Nashville Network on November 1st. I wouldn't mind seeing RTV go away and be replaced with TNN on 7.2.

This is great for people who watch TV over the air. Not so great for people with cable or satellite. If Comcast or Charter pick it up, it'll be on channel 7,384.

Does anybody know if Charter is carrying 10 news 2 any more?

Helllooooo, Babies!

Yep, I saw Ten10 News 2 when visiting a friend who has Charter. Did not note the channel, though. Sorry. Next time they invite me for a free meal, I will look it up and post it, if you have not found it by then. Probably this coming weekend.

About 90% of TV homes around here are connected to a cable or dish. If you have bad placement or no placement The Watching Paint Dry Channel (The WPD!) gets more viewers. I don't even know if the stations can make enough money with most of them to merit the cost of equipment.

Me-TV will find an audience, and, if promoted correctly by its anchor station, will be found.

Our NBC affiliate in Richmond killed their weather channel in early February, replacing it with Me-TV. Excellent channel with far superior shows to Antenna TV (which we also have) and RTV (which we do not).

Me-TV will be a good addition to your lineup, even if it is on channel 460. ;)

Glad to see ME TV arrive in Knoxville. I have watched it for months when I am in Memphis. Memphis stations also carry the This Network and Antenna TV, but not RTV. RTV seems to have lost its way; I would not mind seeing Channel 7 switch to Antenna TV. I also found it odd that Channel 7 moved RTV to 7.2 some time back and uses 7.1 for a religious channel.

Agreed that 7.2 should dump RTV. I believe WTNZ 43.2 carried ThisTV for a while -- do they still?

7.1 became Daystar religious when they bought the station.

METV is now on in the Tri-Cities on 11.2 and 232 on Greeneville Comcast.I just have basic basic cable and RTV and METV is about all I watch. The rest is worthless anyway. Not into American Pickers and other shows about people looking thru other peoples junk. Thats what flea markets are for. I like METV picked up Emergency! One of my favorite shows as a kid in the 70's. It was on Kingsport's RTV 19.3.

Yes WTNZ still carries This Network on 43.2. The Johnson City, TN Fox affiliate (channel 39) also has This Network 0n 39.2. I use Direct TV but I also have an antenna rigged up for over-the-air signals.
