Mexican radio DX in Mississippi tonight

I was flipping the dial in my car right after 6:30 this evening and a lot of Spanish-speaking stations were coming through. I did hear one station make reference to Monterrey (in northeastern Mexico near Texas) and another make reference to Zacatecas in central Mexico. My guess that there were all from Mexico since none of the usually far-away stations were in the English language. If they were Texas stations, I would've heard some English-language stations.

I assume you are talking FM?

Yes, there was an apparently very nice sporadic-E opening late yesterday. Reports I saw had folks here in Tennessee hearing Mexico and even a few West Texas stations. It's unusual for such a robust opening to happen out of the Summer season.

Yes, they were FMs. What was impressive were that some of the stations coming in were right next to the Jackson stations, though not enough to cause interference.
