"Mi Casa" on KTBU 55.4

KTBU has started simulcasting 55.1 on its previously blank 55.4. The channel identifies as "MiCasa" on the PSIP data stream. Two guesses what language will be on 55.4 once it starts airing its own programs.

I'm not sure what to make of Mi Casa.

The target is Hispanic, but the shows are Spanish and English.

Methinks the target demo will be Latino/a, whether or not they speak Spanish, a la MTV Tr3s or (originally) LATV (although LATV drifted to Spanish-only over the last year or two). They're out of Houston so we may see them picked up elsewhere in Texas. (Channel 26.2 or 44.2 in DFW?)

This may not be the only change at KTBU for its subchannels. Also to note, VAN-TV has begun programming at 21.6, which leads me to believe that 55.2's future may be up in the air after the first of the year. 21.6 is currently running the same programming as 55.2, only at different times.
