First question to ask yourself: Are you African American? (no need to answer here, of course!).

- 70% of the WHQT cume is historically Black. (The rest is Hispanic and then "Other."

Second question: do any of the people you have in your car or home also like stations like WEDR? That's where the continuum goes on the younger end, quite by design; WEDR and WHQT are complementary and serve the 22% of the Miami MSA that is African American.

WEDR is predominantly 18-34, and WHQT is aimed at 35+, with lots of overlap, of course.

The other thing is, take a look at HOT 105's cume. Not that great. There are 9 other stations with higher cume. So that means that people are tuning in and listening a long time. They are loyal and like what HOT is doing. That says something for the programming (ie: music, talent, number of commercials, etc)
